Reflection on Amal Journey

Whenever I will hear the word Amal Academy, the first thing that comes to my mind is Amal itself and Khudi i.e. Self-reflection. Throughout the three months I spent with the Amal family and honestly speaking I learned the things which compel myself to awake and go in order to change this universe positively, you can do this, You’re born for this, and spread love in order to support anybody without any reward. Here are some reflections of my journey. I learned about self-reflection, taking action, showing gratitude, going the extra mile, lots of learning, many things that I’m missing out on and the PASSENGER series is very impactful . These 3 months were like a roller coaster for me. A lot changed in my life. 42 people joined my life, sharing a common piece of goal i.e. to graduate from this prestigious org. with flying colors. We had 2 great people with us sometimes as teachers, sometimes as friends.

In the first week of Fellowship we divided into learning groups and in which I think I learned a lot especially when we were discussing the LUMS Case study and during our discussion i realized that how it’s important to think effectively in order to give your idea clearly also the other peers having great mental abilities with different and remarkable ideologies open my mind and compel me to broaden my thinking level, From where I learned the importance of working in a team and respecting the beautiful arguments of your peeps.

As a proud part of Amal Academy we people were also blessed with the task to fundraise for the great foundation “Edhi Foundation. For this in the first week we started our journey in this way, We contacted our close relatives and friends and fellows for donation as well as we contacted some of the organization as well. Moreover, We design suitable posters and attractive pictures with magnificent messages and updated our stories on social media platforms which was very learning experience in order to know the psychology of our society and to tackle the challenging situation in efficient way and finally we people collected some considerable amount for foundation, I will remember this activity throughout in my life and try to do same for the sake of humanity.

And one of the most important task of fellowship was to do something practical in your life i.e. change your imaginations into reality. I’m talking about my Mega project, Our mega project is about Self Defense against sexual harassment and currently we are working on it, this project help me a lot and build my team work and leadership skills in practical life.
